Drake State Hosting Career Week Activities
The Drake State Placement office will be providing the following workshops and events to assist students in further developing the skills necessary to apply for a job, present a professional image and exceed workplace expectations. The workshops are as follows:
MONDAY, APRIL 4
Resume Writing and Interviewing Skills Workshop
Location: Building 200 Cafetorium
Time: 10 am and 5 pm

TUESDAY, APRIL 5
The Whole You for The Interview
This workshop will focus on getting interview ready from head to toe. While what you wear is very important, learn what other personal touches will make you shine above all others. There are two sessions specifically designed to address the professional image challenges experienced by men and one for women.

Honors Day Celebration
Location: Knight Center – Campus of Alabama A&M University

THURSDAY, APRIL 7
Mock interviews will be made possible by the Placement Office, IAAP, and Phi Beta Lambda.
Interviewers will be on campus to give students feedback , so come dressed to impress!
Location: Library, 3rd Floor
Time: 11:30 am - 12:30 pm
Campus Wide Dress for Success Day
Faculty, Staff, and Students are encouraged to dress in their best professional attire! You never know when you will get stopped for looking great! Prizes to be given throughout the day!
FRIDAY APRIL 8
J. F. Drake State Technical College Career Fair
Bring your resume and come prepared to network. Students will have the opportunity to talk to recruiters about career opportunities in public and private sectors as well as opportunities to transfer to four year institutions.
