Drake State to Offer CNC Plasma Cutting Course
As a continued commitment to Workforce Development, Drake State will be offering a CNC Plasma Cutting Course in February 2012. The 48 hour course will be available on February 7, 2012 for a cost of $800.
CNC, or computer numerical controlled, plasma cutting is really two different things – programming a computer and operating a plasma cutter. A great benefit from learning CNC processes is that it is also applicable to robotic welding, plus a variety of modern machine shop devices, including CNC lathes, mills, etc. In this course, you will learn to program and operate a Torchmate plasma cutter, but you will be able to transition to PlasmaCam, Sherline, Thermal Dynamics, and other plasma cutters without much effort.
The course will run from February 7 – March 15, 2012 on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 5pm – 9pm. For additional information or to register for the course, please contact Ricky Willingham at 256.551.5219 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
