Student ID Cards & Parking Permits
Every student enrolled at J. F. Drake State Technical College must have a Student ID card and Parking Decal. Both of these documents EXPIRE and must be renewed each August.
A photo ID and current class schedule (stamped “paid” from the business office) must be presented to obtain a Student ID card.
Parking decals must be obtained and made visible on your vehicle during your enrollment at Drake State. Please be prepared to provide your license plate number as well as make and model of your vehicle along with your stamped receipt from the business office.
During Regular Registration, both the Student ID Cards and the Parking Decals are available in Room 711. The Public Relations Department is open full time to provide ID Cards and parking decals during registration periods.
After registration, a student may apply for an ID Card or Parking Decal in Room 702 on Mondays 12:30–5 p.m., Wednesdays 2:30–5 p.m., and Fridays 8–11 a.m. throughout the semester or call 256.551.3136 to make an appointment.

Important Notice to students attending classes at the Downtown Instructional Site:
The City of Huntsville Parking Services Department enforces parking in the lot at the downtown instructional site. You must have your Drake State parking decal visible on your rearview mirror to park in the city’s lot across from the building. Failure to properly display your decal may result in a fine from the City of Huntsville.
